Start as Guest, Sign Up, and Verify Email

Purpose

Start from a fresh install, understand guest limitations, and complete sign-up in a secure way.

Prerequisites

  • App is opened for the first time or no user is currently signed in.
  • You can access your email inbox if using email/password registration.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the app and confirm three public tabs are visible: Explore Services, Explore Businesses, and Profile.
  2. Browse services and businesses as a guest, and use header search to check availability and categories.
  3. Open Profile and choose Sign up.
  4. For Apple or Google, tap the provider CTA and complete provider authorization. You are signed in immediately.
  5. For email/password, submit credentials and wait for the verification message.
  6. Open the verification email and click the verification button inside the message.
  7. Verify within the 24-hour validity window, then return to login and sign in.
  8. If the email is missing, check Spam/Junk and use Resend verification email.

Decision points

  • If you signed up with Apple/Google, no separate email verification step is required.
  • If verification link expired after 24 hours, request a new verification email before logging in.
  • If your inbox does not show the message, check spam filters first, then retry resend.

Expected result

Your customer account is active, verified when needed, and ready for booking features.

Common mistakes

  • Trying to log in with credentials before verifying the email link.
  • Assuming guest mode allows sending booking requests.
