Book and Track Booking Requests

Purpose

Create a booking request from web entry points and track business decision updates until final status.

Prerequisites

  • Signed in as CUSTOMER.
  • Selected service is visible and available for request submission.
  • At least one notification channel is enabled (email and/or push).

Step-by-step

  1. Start booking from quick search results, Explore card Book now, service details Book now, or business detail -> service -> Book now.
  2. Choose provider/staff in step 1 (single available staff is preselected automatically).
  3. Select date and free time slot in step 2.
  4. Complete confirmation in step 3, including required phone number when enforced, optional note, and promo code.
  5. Submit request and wait for business confirmation or rejection.
  6. Monitor outcome from notifications and dashboard bookings timeline.

Decision points

  • If phone field is required by service rules, request submission is blocked until provided.
  • If deal pricing is already stronger than promo code, final pricing keeps the stronger discount.
  • If status remains pending, wait for business action before planning arrival.

Expected result

A valid booking request is submitted and its status remains synchronized across bookings and notifications.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming every request is auto-confirmed immediately.
  • Missing mandatory contact fields and retrying without fixing form errors.
