Manage My Appointments and Status Updates

Purpose

Work from the employee appointments calendar, update booking outcomes in real time, and monitor notifications for decision changes.

Prerequisites

  • Active EMPLOYEE profile.
  • You have assigned appointments for the selected date range.
  • Notification permissions are enabled on the device.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Appointments (first tab) and switch between day, week, and month depending on planning horizon.
  2. Confirm you only see your own events; employee role does not include staff filter across other team members.
  3. Open an appointment card and review customer, service, and scheduled time details.
  4. Update lifecycle status with the correct action (Start, Complete, No-show, cancel/reject actions when available by policy).
  5. Add an operational note when appointment context changed or no-show needs explanation.
  6. If your business uses manual calendar blocks, add the needed item type (busy, manual booking, break, or other) for accurate availability.
  7. Open the header notification bell to confirm new updates, approval responses, and booking state changes.

Decision points

  • If you cannot find an appointment, first clear status/date filters and recheck the current view.
  • If update fails because of network delay, refresh calendar before repeating status action.
  • If customer disputes outcome, keep timeline and notes aligned before escalating to manager.

Expected result

Your appointment states are accurate, visible to business operations, and synchronized with customer notifications.

Common mistakes

  • Marking appointments complete before service actually ends.
  • Skipping notes for no-show or exception scenarios.
  • Assuming unread notifications were already processed.
