Accept Invite and Activate Employee Profile

Purpose

Join a business as employee through invite links, including both new-account setup and existing-account acceptance flows.

Prerequisites

  • Invite email received from owner or manager.
  • Invite token is still valid.
  • Browser session available for login if account already exists.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the invite email and click the invite URL.
  2. If you do not have a BUUK account, complete full name and password on the invite form, then submit.
  3. If you already have a BUUK customer account, sign in and open invite accept page.
  4. On the accept screen, choose Accept to add employee profile or Decline if invite is not intended for you.
  5. After acceptance, refresh dashboard and verify EMPLOYEE profile is available in profile switcher.
  6. If needed, use Create customer profile from employee account actions.

Decision points

  • If login is missing during existing-account acceptance, web redirects to sign-in before invite action.
  • If token is expired or invalid, request a newly issued invite from owner/manager.
  • If wrong account accepted the invite, escalate immediately for reassignment.

Expected result

Your user is correctly mapped to employee role for the invited business and can access employee dashboard pages.

Common mistakes

  • Registering a duplicate account instead of accepting on existing account.
  • Closing page before profile refresh completes.
